Invitation 26th November

We come together today to remind ourselves and the country that many of our constitutional guarantees remain unfulfilled and forgotten. Please join us at Mavlankar Auditorium, VP House, Rafi Marg, on the 26^th of November, the anniversary of the day the Constitution was adopted, to renew our commitment to the guiding principles and the realization of Constitutional guarantees. The Jansansad will convene between 11 am to 5 pm. We will take a pledge between 1 pm and 2 pm with eminent persons who have protected Constitutional guarantees.  And in the evening between 6 pm and 8 pm we will have lectures on Reclaiming Democracy, to begin shaping a serious discourse; today we will  hear Romila Thapar, well known historian and Asghar Ali Engineer, crusader against divisive communal forces in India. Kapila Vatsayan, well known for her contribution to cultural diversity, will chair the meeting.

Please note that venue for 26th November of the Jan Sansad is Mavalankar Hall, Constitution Club, NOT Jantar Mantar. The rest of the days 27th to 30th will continue at Jantar Mantar. Please find below a detailed agenda.

Staying arrangements have been made at Ambedkar Bhawan, R.K. Ashram Marg.

By Metro: Take Blue Line: Indraprashta - Dwarka Sector 9 and get off at Ramakrishnan Marg Metro Station, then take Chitragupt Road and then a left on to Darbari Lal Marg. Down this road, Ambedkar Bhawan will come on your left.  It is a five minute walk.

From New Delhi railway station: Take Paharganj exit, go towards paharganj market, from T junction, take right then left. It is around a 1 km walk.
